Breeze still carries the sound
Maybe I'll disappear
Tracks will fade in the snow
You won't find me here

turn me right round
well its been a while, think i need to fade away recluse back to this site, no one that i know really knows about this blog so i should be able to freely distribute my thoughts. lots has changed, and decayed and grown. i should have the pictures at the top fixed sometime soon, the problem was with it being a php script running off my web server at home and i borked the php install some how. i'm doing a different call queue at work now, less calls but tougher support issues, i want a granola bar....

waste
what makes you smile? the sun rise, the sun set, stealing glances,
across the room noticing another's eyes glisten back, false assurance,
never look back, conversationalist wasting time, breathe your oxygen,
spend your dime, vivacious queen, you mean nothing to me

nothing
how do you know when its gone? constant disgrace and emptiness. when its
gone, how do you know. how do you know if you want that type of feeling
back? is it wrong if you dont. resentment, torture. temptation wanes.
what do people think, blindly stumbling through these dark halls of a
life with no purpose no direction. what is their direction, motivation,
and drive for something so insignificant. every one, every single
destination, there is an end. an end to everything, and after that there
is nothing, so why waste it on a beginning. bike rides and smiles, sunny
days and strolls through the park, caress on the cheek, melted memory,
flowing down the drain. wasted tears and insecurity grown, trusting
shattered. stealing glances on the side, filth of lust all around. help
me keep it away, throw it away, unnecessary, throw it away, pointless
without direction, throw it away, piece of trash, throw it away like you
threw me. numbness overcomes, washes it all away, bright expectations
reduced to bleak memories. tumor growth to annoyance

Windows Vista b5308

Windows Vista, the mystical, delayed, new version of windows. At first glance, I dont like it one bit, ad second glance it just gets even worse, so far i've been able to chug to a halt, freeze up applications, lock up and blue screen at will. About Stability? only if i tip-toe around the OS. Although there are some pluses to the shiny new front end of your computer, Ive come across what seems to list all the processes running and exactally what service that process belongs to, this can be an invaluable research tool while troubleshooting someones computer, to bad I cant remember how to get to it as the directory structure on here makes no sense. Why they chose to make you click on a menu of words to open an indiviual applet with a single tab is beyond me but it just seems quite unorganized to me, just stick similar tabs on the same applet and all would be nice and accessable

Also another nice addition is the "Tools" tab in the msconfig utility, it has a few helpful things which can be accessed by the click of a Launch button, this would be helpful if it wasnt a pain to get to as the run box is now no longer on the start menu by default.

you can forget about making good use of that extra gig stick of memory you bought last week, Vista wants it all! an entire 512 of memory being sucked down this tank for mundane tasks is completely ridiculous! i managed to get it push back down to about 280megs of usage but thats just with wmp streaming and IE7 open. To do that i went through the services list and turned all seemingly uneccessary ones off, such as the pretty black themes(which actually are quite nice) and desktop window manager session manager, topology mapper, replication services and media center services, and that still only brough me down to 280 of memory.

The new start menu scheme can use some more work in my opinion, they need to quit messing with it and let the newbs get used to something. i can imagine it now; "okay maam, click on all programs..." okay sometihing above it changed and now it says internet explorer and windows mail again..." "maam are you double clicking on it?..." people were just starting to get the hang of the xp one i think and now they throw this wrench into the cogs. i havent yet read much about this release on M$ website but if it says anything good i hope it is all behind the scenes advantages in thread handling or other such nonsence because i could have had my xp look like this using a shell program like windowblinds. luckily its just the beta...they better get this junk together quick

sunshine
the sun teases
like a high school bully looking to benefit from some change
streams of light
mocking like some sort of smiling child
the warmth cascades
across my neck where your fingertips used to familiar

hitting your car like bullets on tin

its a wonderful moby song

the raindrops hit the windshield
bluring reality
cascading down
and all i can see is your beautiful smile

beautiful girls need beautiful accessories

wine
this morning i ended up figuring out the route issue while at home using the static address, i had the gateway route defined without the metric 1 so it basically thought that my router/switch was the internet. the metric 1 told it to go one more hop and then it would be on the internet. so here i am posting on blogdrive.

i'm currently compiling and installing wine on kubuntu, it is taking a very long time. much longer than the other source installs i've done so far. but it shall be worth it, i will be playing warcraft on *nix which i feel is a great accomplishment. i'm installing from the source rather than using apt-get because i found a very nicely written post on how to install WoW on unbuntu and it suggests using the newest version of wine rather than the ubuntu compiled one.  I shall be reposting and hosting the files mentioned in the write up again while crediting the original post as redundancy is always good to have on the interent because you never know when that hotlink might die.

well i'll post that write up later, i've got about a half an hour of transferring the WoW files from my pc to the laptop so i'm going to take this oppertunity to bathe.
